We ran into Kristin Stewart (Twilight) filming a scene from On The Road.  The movie adaptation of the classic novel by Jack Kerouac. Also starring Viggo Mortensen they've been keeping this movie very quiet around town.

July 27, 2010-Green Lantern

Probably the biggest production to be filmed here in New Orleans since Benjamin Button.  Starring Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, and Tim Robbins. With a budget of over $120 Million you can do lots of fun stuff.  This was a disaster scene at a farmers market the set up on O'Keefe Ave. in the CBD.  They shot for about a week and made a huge mess!

July 21, 2010-Memphis Beat

Jason Lee (My Name Is Earl) has been in town for awhile filming the first season of Memphis Beat.  A new series on TNT that is completely filmed in New Orleans, not Memphis!  This is an interior scene from the final episode of season 1 that was shot on the corner of Gravier and Magazine in the CBD.  they just picked it up for a second season, great news for New Orleans!
